An Ohio woman is due in court next week, after her morning coffee run took a bad turn during an argument over a coupon.

Police in Sidney, Ohio say it happened last Wednesday morning, as 28-year-old Myjera Walker of Blacklick, Ohio pulled into a Tim Hortons drive-thru, hoping for a discounted drink.

According to a police incident report as cited by the Sidney Daily News, Walker had a coupon for a large coffee, but the drive-thru employee says she ordered a medium. When handed the medium brew, Walker allegedly became angry, insisting that she had ordered a large.

The employee said she offered to give Walker a large coffee instead, but that Walker became argumentative, said she didn’t want the coffee, and drove off.

It might have ended there, but Walker then allegedly parked her car and entered the store, where she “began yelling at employees and flailing her arms around.” When an employee asked her to leave, police say Walker offered to “take it outside” and settle the dispute there.

By that time, employees told investigators that they pressed a panic button to notify police there was a problem, after which they said Walker went behind the counter and began pushing and hitting them. One employee suffered minor injuries before they were able to get Walker to leave.

By the time police arrived, Walker had already left, but they managed to track down her car and catch up with her nearby. After reviewing surveillance footage, police arrested her for assault.

Walker has been ordered to appear in court for an arraignment next Monday. If convicted, she faces possible penalties of up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines.

No word on whatever became of her coupon. But after what went down at the Tim Hortons, she has potentially pricier problems now than saving a couple of bucks on her morning brew.
