According to a new survey from Consumer Reports that ranks 62 of the country's top grocery chains, these 16 are at the very bottom of the list.

We've flipped the list on its head, to rank the stores from the bottom up. So, in order from bad to worst, here are the stores that more than 50,000 respondents said they were least impressed with, and why - with some help from the wonderfully snarky and brutally honest reviewers on Yelp.com.

10. Martin’s

Martin’s has dealt with a lot of change in recent years – being absorbed into the Ahold Delhaize conglomerate, and selling off several stores to Publix.

But many Martin’s shoppers are still smarting over the chain’s buyout of Virginia’s revered Ukrop’s grocery chain back in 2010.

“I miss Ukrop’s more & more with each visit I make to Martin’s,” one Yelp reviewer writes. “All they had to do was continue to run an extremely successful business. Instead, they have flushed it right down the toilet.”

Consumer Reports readers give the chain so-so scores for its prices and checkout experience.

And one reviewer suggests a slogan Martin’s is unlikely to adopt: “Customer service is priority #7,338!”
